Drama club proves that the show must go on

There were less people than expected at the Drama Club’s Open Mic Night, but that did not stop the club members from having a great time.

Phillip Zaborowski is the vice president of the Drama Club.

“We’re just trying to get news out there that we’re back in action,” he said.

Club has been around for a long time, but did not generate enough interest to remain active on campus.

“There’s been a about a two year break where the club hasn’t been active,” Zaborowski said.

This year, the club started to gain interest again.

“We’re just putting the club back together, so we’re kind of doing things on the fly,” Zaborowski said.

This event might not have had many participants, but that did not stop the club from having a good time.

Kyle Gautz played violin all night, Bri Morgan sang “Where Are You Christmas,” and eventually the whole group sang “Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.”

The group raised money for Paula’s House, a local women’s shelter.

Zaborowski said that at some point there will be an acting workshop for those interested in acting, and eventually the club hopes to put on a play.

Club meetings are every other Wednesday in the little theatre of C building. There will soon be information about when the first meeting of winter semester will occur.
