Due to lack of entries, the student and faculty voting for the art contest is tentative.
Jack Burns, director of Campus Facilities, organized a competition for art and graphic design students to have a chance to display their designs in one of the windows in the new student space in the L Building.
Burns said they did not receive enough entries, so he extended the submission date.
The designs were going to be judged in two rounds.
Faculty and professors will judge first. Kevin Cooper, dean of Science/Mathematics, graphic design professor Brad Hesser, art professor Therese O’Halloran, graphic designer Douglas Richter, and Burns planned to judge all the entries from Nov. 20 to Nov. 22.
Now they will be judging on Thursday, Dec. 7.
The student and faculty voting was scheduled to begin Nov. 27 and end Dec. 1.
The winners were going to be announced on Dec. 4.
Burns said he is not sure if they are going to open voting up to students and faculty. It depends on how many entries are submitted before Thursday.
